clarinet and basset clarinet
Diane Heffner received both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees with honors from New England Conservatory, where she studied with Joseph Allard.
In addition to playing for Dinosaur Annex, Ms. Heffner performs with the new music groups Alea III, the Brandeis Contemporary Chamber Players, the Harvard Group for New Music, Composers in Red Sneakers and the Tufts New Music Ensemble.
On historical period clarinet, she plays with the Philharmonia Baroque of San Francisco, Boston Baroque, the Handel & Haydn Society, the Connecticut Early Music Festival, and the Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra. She also plays jazz tenor saxophone and clarinet with the Boston-based ANW Sextet.
Ms. Heffner currently serves on the faculties of Dartmouth College, Brandeis and Tufts Universities and the All-Newton Music School.
