A native of New England, Mowry Pearson, grew up in the Boston area where he studied violin with Lucy Parker and George Zazofsky. At Oberlin Conservatory, where he received his degree, he studied with Steven Staryk. Mr. Pearson's active chamber music career has included extensive periods as pricipal violinist with the Apple Hill Chamber Players and the Atlanta Chamber Players. He has performed with many of the Boston area orchestras and chamber orchestras including the Cantata Singers, Emmanuel Music, and Boston Lyric Opera. He has also toured and recorded with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Presently, Mowry teaches at the Pine Hill Waldorf School in Wilton, New Hampshire and directs a chamber music series in Southern New Hampshire. |
