Peggy Spencer

Peggy Spencer, violin and viola, studied at the Mannes College of Music and Manhattan School of Music with Raphael Bronstein, Louis Bagger, and David Wells.

With her strong background in chamber music she has coached chamber music and taught violin at the Putney School, the BMC Music School, the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, and the Bennington Chamber Music Conference.

Peggy is a member of the Arcadia Baroque Players and the Bella Rosa String Quartet. She is concertmistress of the New England Bach Festival (director Blanche Moyse), with whom she is frequently soloist and has performed with the Springfield and Vermont Symphonies, the New England Camerata, the Mohawk Trail Concerts, and the Handel and Haydn Society.
