Rebecca Prosser studied recorder and baroque violin as an exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music in London. She continued her studies as a scholar on the postgraduate early music course, partly funded by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Since leaving college Rebecca has enjoyed an active performing career playing and recording with many leading period instrumental groups including the Gabrielli Consort, the English Concert, Florilegium, and the Kings Consort. Much of her time is also taken up with her chamber groups, Jouissance des Dames and Ogni Sorte d'Istromenti with whom she has performed in various festivals, made live broadcasts for the BBC Radio 3 and given workshops in schools.
Recent projects have included playing for the Rambert Dance Company, a solo recording of a contemporary work for EMI, and performances of Monteverdi's Opera "Il Ritorno d'Ulisse"with the English Concert.
