Richard Hsu, violinist, performs with Orchestra of St. Lukes, New York Collegium, Rebel, The American Classical Orchestra, The Gotham Chamber Opera, and Concert Royal. He has appeared as violin soloist with the Moscow Ballet at the Spoleto Festival and was formerly associate concertmaster of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. He holds a performer diploma and bachelor's degree in violin performance from the Indiana University School of Music. He furthered his studies at the Manhattan School of Music with Glenn Dicterow and other members of the New York Philharmonic in the orchestral performance program. Richard has taught violin part time at the St. Thomas Choir School for Boys in NYC and at the Beacon, N.Y., public schools and currently teaches violin & chamber music in Blue Hill, Maine in addition to his busy concert schedule. He can be heard on the recently released Disney movie soundtrack "Casanova." |
