Directions to Cambridge Friends Meeting House

5 Longfellow Park, Cambridge,MA

By public transportation

1. Take the red line to Harvard Sq. station.
2. When you get off the train from either direction, exit up the stairs in the middle of the platform going up instead of taking the gently sloping ramp down the end of the platform.
3. At the very top of the stairs, go thru the turnstiles and turn right for the exit "To Church Street"
4. As you exit, continue walking straight out onto Church St. (There is a Body Shop to your left and a church on your right.)
5. Walk all the way down Church Street until you reach a T intersection with Brattle St. (You will see Charrette and Crate & Barrel at the intersection.)
6. Turn right onto Brattle St.
7. Walk about 5 blocks down Brattle St. You will pass on the left:
1. Story St.
2. Hilliard St.
3. The American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T)
4. Ash St.
5. Hawthorn St.
8. Longfellow Park is your first left after Hawthorn St.
9. Longfellow Park is a U-shaped street with a grassy strip in the middle. There will be a tiny blue sign that says "Friends Meeting at Cambridge."
10. The meetinghouse is the first brick building on the right side of the park.
11. Turn right into the driveway. The meetinghouse is the building on the right side of the driveway.

By car from the Mass Pike (I-90)

1. Step 1
• From the Mass Pike East, take Exit 18 for Brighton/Cambridge (pay toll $1)
• From the Mass Pike West, take Exit 20 for Brighton/Cambridge (pay toll $1)
2. After the tolls stay right to take the split to Cambridge
3. Then stay left. At the big intersection (double set of traffic lights) stay in the left or 2nd to left lane.
4. Go over the bridge and get into the left lane to make the first left onto Memorial Drive. (You'll see a Shell gas station at the far corner.)
5. Drive down Memorial Drive through three sets of lights (at the 3rd one, there is a sign that says "Harvard Square")
6. Take the first right after the 3rd traffic light (drive slowly as it comes up quickly), which is Hawthorn St.
7. Make your first right onto Mount Auburn St.
8. Make your first left onto Ash St.
9. At the end of the street turn left onto Brattle St. (You can begin to look for parking on Brattle St. There is no parking on Longfellow Park. You may have to go past Longfellow Park to find parking.)
10. Longfellow Park will be your 3rd left. There will be a tiny blue sign that says "Friends Meeting at Cambridge." (1st left is Hawthorn St., 2nd left is Longfellow Park exiting onto Brattle St.)

Directions to Concord Academy

By car

1. From Boston or Cambridge take Route 2 west
2. Cross Rt. 128/I-95 and continue several miles
3. After a long downhill, Route 2 goes to the left
4. Stay in far right lane and continue going straight
5. After several miles the road ends in a T intersection.
6. Go left and follow into a traffic circle
7. Go left around traffic circle and you will be on the Main Street of Concord
8. Continue until Main St. splits
9. Take the right fork and immediately look for The East Gate of Concord Academy on your right
10. Park on the street and the Dance Performance Space is in the big brick building as you walk through the gate

Sarasa Concerts are at Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall, Longy School of Music, 27 Garden Street located at the intersection of Garden and Concord Streets, near the Sheraton Commander Hotel. You can phone Longy at 617-876-0956 x500 and select option 2 for driving directions.

Via Public Transportation

The school is a 10-minute walk from the Harvard Square T stop on the Red Line. Bus routes 72, 74, 77, and 78 pass near the school. The entrance to the concert hall is accessible via the 27 Garden St. entrance, which is accessible to the disabled.

By Car

The concert hall inside Longy is located at the intersection of Garden and Concord Streets, near the Sheraton Commander Hotel. There is metered parking along Garden Street and Massachusetts Avenue, free after 6 p.m.

Discounted parking is available a 15 minute walk from Longy at the University Place Garage in Harvard Sq. Parking before 5 p.m. is $1 off the first two hours, or a flat rate $6 after 5 p.m. To get the discount, have your parking ticket validated during the day by the Longy receptionist or at night by the security guard.

Take Exit 12, follow Rt. 9 East two miles to the Edgell Rd.-Main St., Framingham Exit. Take your first right onto the Framingham State Campus.

From I-95 (Route 128):
Take Exit 25 to the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) West, and follow the directions above.

From Route 495:

1. Take Exit 4 for Putney on Interstate 91 in Vermont.
2. From the south take a left at end of ramp and drive up the hill.
3. At intersection continue 100 yards on Main Street past the Putney Food Co-op and look for SARASA CONCERT sign on left.
4. From the north turn right at ramp and drive north on Route 5. Drive 1/4 mile and concert hall is just past the Putney Food Co-0p on the left. Look for SARASA CONCERT sign on left side.

From Alewife T station

1. take Route 16 East
2. Continue for many miles crossing Rt. 93,. Rt. 20, and Rt. 1
3. When you arrive at a big traffic circle follow signs to the right for Route 1A and Revere
4. Continue on Rt.1A until you come to Wonderland T stop and a large traffic circle and then continue following signs for Lynn
5. Drive for some miles through mall country and at next traffic circle take a right looking for signs to Nahant
6. Go straight across causeway and when you reach the Island you will see a Police Station on your left.
7. Ellingwood Chapel is on the right across from station
8. Drive into the cemetery and park outside chapel

From Storrow Drive going east

1. Drive to the end of Storrow drive and take Route 93 North and Route 1 North
2. Cross the Tobin Bridge (Rt. 1) and continue until you rreach the junction of Route 16.
3. Go right on Rt 16 towards Revere
4. When you arrive at a big traffic circle follow signs to the right for Route 1A and Revere
5. Continue on Rt.1A until you come to Wonderland T stop and a large traffic circle and then continue following signs for Lynn

1. Going East on Storrow Drive take the exit for Harvard Square.
2. Turn right and then the first left into the parking lot for Harvard Business School.
3. The chapel is a small modern pyramid shape building.

Directions to St. Paul's School (Concord, NH)

From Logan Airport
Take the Airport Expressway to Boston via Sumner Tunnel; follow Interstate 93 North (approximately 66 miles) to I-89, just south of Concord. Follow I-89 North to Exit 2, Clinton Street.*

From the Manchester Airport
From Airport Exit Road turn right onto Brown Avenue, follow signs for Interstate 293. Take I-293 to I-93 North. Follow I-93 North to I-89, just south of Concord. Follow I-89 North to Exit 2, Clinton Street.*

From the Massachusetts Turnpike
Take Exit 11a to Interstate 495 North. Follow to Massachusetts Route 3 North. Follow Rt. 3 North which becomes Everett Turnpike at New Hampshire border. Continue on Everett Turnpike to I-93 North. Follow I-93 North to I-89, just south of Concord. Follow I-89 North to Exit 2, Clinton Street. * (Driving time in good weather from Boston is approximately 1.5 hours).

From I-93 North or Concord
Take Exit 13 on I-93 to Route 3 North and turn at the end of exit ramp (left if going northbound, right if going southbound). Go through three sets of lights. At fourth light, turn left onto Pleasant Street (Route 202 West); continue past Concord Hospital. St. Paul's School sign is on the left; turn left onto Dunbarton Road.

* From Exit 2 on I-89
At the end of the ramp turn left onto Clinton Street. At the next intersection (yellow blinking light) turn right onto Silk Farm Road. Continue straight until the road ends at a T-junction marked by a stop sign. Turn right onto Dunbarton Road. Follow signs for the Admissions office, about one-eighth of a mile on the left.

Directions to The University of Vermont, Recital Hall

The UVM Recital Hall is a modern 300 seat hall which is regarded as one of the most acoustically superb spaces in the state of Vermont. The Recital Hall is located on UVM's beautiful Redstone Campus on South Prospect Street in Burlington. We present chamber music, solo recitals, and other small folk, jazz, and classical events in this intimate comfortable venue. All seating is general admission

From Rt. 89
Take exit 14 West. As you come up over the hill to UVM you will see the UVM Green on your right. Make a left at the corner of South Prospect and Main. Turn left into the Redstone Campus driveway after the stop sign. Recital Hall is at the base of the U shaped driveway.

Parking: Available in any UVM lot that is NOT zoned residential or handicapped after 6:00 pm (please avoid these lots or you may be towed). Adjacent to the Redstone circle are
1. The Robinson hall lot (first right off the circle);
2. Visitor Lot/Continuing Ed Lot (right off circle after the Recital Hall and pine grove. 3. Blundell Lot (last right off circle before coming back to South Prospect Street. Parking on South Prospect Street is also a good option.
